Apr 25th 2012, 18:34 Great tits who know their neighbouring great tits are more likely to join in with mobbing behaviour of potential predators with the neighbours than those they don't know, apparently. http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/17791276 I'm not too comfortable with the two rationales for the behaviour given in the link, though - I sort of think they would also apply to neighbours they don't know so well.:dunno: David
