Heat and Cold May 23rd 2012, 03:39 .. this morning I boiled some water and put a Melanine plate on top of the saucepan. when i took it off it began to produce sharp cracking noises and I noticed that the noises were in sync with a crack forming from side to side of the plate. Why was this ?
